She tends my boo-boo

when I fall.

I doctor on

a baby doll.

Splish-splash,

bath time,

scrub-a-dub,

Mama’s soaked

outside the tub.

I yawn and ask her

one more “why.”

Mama hums

a lullaby.

She tucks me in

all snug and tight

and says, “I love you.

Nighty-night.”
